Bunya Mountains, Birds & Wallabies

3 nights in a house at the Bunya Mountains, west of Kingaroy, all 3 families & all 6 grandchildren. Plenty of bushwalking, wild birds & wallabies & the odd snake & possum, all of them quite used to people. The kids had a great time & the weather was great, with a fire burning in the house every night.

Filling in time

Waiting for our trip to the 2 Musters.

Testing out our fire table on the back verandah, toasting giant marshmallows. I tried to buy some more, but no one had any, not even Cosco. So I made my own giant marshmallows & I reckon they are even better than the bought ones.

On one of our morning rides we stopped off at Sue & Marks house for coffee & had an audience to watch us drink it.

Lake Awoonga exploration mission.

We have never been to Lake Awoonga, even though it is only about 3 hours away. We spent 2 nights at the very civilised Eastern shore caravan park & 1 night on the Western shore free camp. Not sure which we liked best, both were good & we enjoyed the trip very much in great company.

                                                             Selfie by Sue.

Stacked up both canoes this time.

Great spot overlooking the lake, right beside the van.
